There has been a lot of snapper caught off the pier lately, even keeper muttons. Besides the muttons there has been huge, up to 23in mangroves being caught off the pier. These are caught simply on little baits on a bottom rig. When I was out there it didn't matter whether you casted out or you dropped it straight down, you would get a hit.

Yesterday off the pier was amazing! There was bonitos everywhere! You through a lure in the water and as soon as it hit the water you were on! My dad and i each got about 6. until they stopped. Then today off the pier there was a couple bonito, but not as many as yesterday. Both yesterday and today was said to have cobia off of Hobesound. Between Hobesound and Pecks Lake they were just off the beach, and lots of them.

July 1st

Sorry I haven't been updating this. My computer again has been going crazy.
Well lets see here, the only thing I can really tell you about is the bonitos, snnok and sharks off the Juno Pier. You put a live bait down on bottom off the Pier and you are definately likely to get hit by the monster mother snook swimming all over. If you through out a live sardine off there on a bottom rig, you may get a snook, but hopefully you'll catch a bonito. There has been Tarpon spotted, but none really caught. Also there is a few Mangrove Snapper being caught off of cut bait. Most of them however are not keepers.

To answer somone's comment.

You can catch the spinner's either off of live mackeral or small Jack crevales swam out (bluefish don't seem to work as well). You can also catch them off of 2 1/2 oz. silver spoons. The gold work wonders too if you could ever find any. If you see spinners jumping off the beach, and they're just all over the place, I would suggest putting on a top water lure. It is amazing watching these creatures jump out of the water for it. This is for the our area (jupiter, hobesound, juno, and riviera) in the months between october to about the middle of April.

April 25, 2008
