Febuary 24 2008

Today my dad went by Juno Bait and tackle and grabbed a couple dead mullet to try on the beach. He had seen a couple cruising sharks in the trough earlier. He through them out, continued to get hit but could not hook them. He finally just left the rod sitting and hooked one. He ended up with about eight 10lb bluefish.

This morning and at night on the beach, there was a ton of spinner sharks. Any time they came in close enough, anything you through across the top of them, they would eat. My dad came home sadly with only one catch, a single 10lb Jack Crevale. He hooked up several times on the sharks but couldn't get one to stay on the hook. They were off Juno beach going towards Singer Island.

This morning on Febuary 18th between 6:30am-8:00am there were a whole bunch of Spinner sharks on the beach. We were catching them on 2 1/2oz. spoons. The sharks weighed anywhere between 50-100lbs.
Yesterday, Febuary 17th, my dad and I went out on this AMAZING drift boat. The name of the boat is The Sea Horse. We used either dead squid or dead spanish sardines dropped down on a single hook bottom rig. We ended up with Mutton snapper, Yellow Tail snapper, a couple small strwberry grouper, grunts, and finally 2 porgies.
This is a picture taken last year when my mom decided to put a bait down to beat us all at fishing. She said "i can fish too". About ten minutes later she pulls up this monster snook.
